Lise earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, with a minor in English from the University of Illinois at Chicago. During her senior year internship, Lise had the opportunity to tutor lower-income students in the Chicago school system and it was there she found her passion for teaching and began graduate school where she earned her master's degree in Special Education from UIC.
Lise taught Kindergarten-4th grade four years in Chicago Public Schools before taking a position teaching high school in the suburbs of Chicago where she taught for 16 years. During her time she went on to earn additional graduate level hours by taking classes on ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, as well as courses related to brain research and executive function.
