Self Confidence?

Improved self confidence effects many areas of a student’s college life.  Students are apt to make better decisions both academically and socially when they feel better about themselves and know they are working towards their goals.  Knowing they can succeed inspires curiosity and a willingness to give 100% to the things that really matter.

According to researcher, Baumeister, “High self-esteem leads to better persistence in the face of failure than low self-esteem, as shown in many studies. Happiness is correlated with high self-esteem.”

One example is Sarah who joined College Success Plan 14 months ago.  She was doing quite poorly in all of her classes and barely passing.  Last semester she earned a 3.34 in SIX classes and has a part time job at the school bookstore at no urging from her parents.  Her goal for this semester is another six classes, bookstore job, AND DEANS LIST!
